Worship is about...
Participating – worship is made for participation, for being actively shared. It isn’t a performance. Worship has no power for the spectator until he or she takes action. Every Sunday we want worship to be able active participation.
Coming Together – sharing our diverse experiences, passions, inspirations to ever increase our understanding of God and of His body the Church. Christ prayed that we would be unified, he also created us to be unique. Sharing the expression of devotion to God with others is what allows our worship to grow beyond our limitations. Ever Sunday we want worship that comes from different people coming together.
Inviting – we are always welcomed by God when we worship Him and we cannot fully worship Him until we welcome others to do the same. The blessing of real, whole hearted worship is so powerful that it overflows our little lives and becomes contagious to those around us. Every Sunday we want worship to be inviting to all.
Responding - when our worship is done the only evidence of it that remains is the effect it has had on us. A change in our hearts seen by a change in our actions is the only really evidence of true worship despite all outward appearances. Despite outward appearances of sincerity, or exuberance, or repentance, the true act of worship follows into our response in the hours and days that follow our time in church. Every Sunday we want worship that demands a response that makes us more like Christ.
Worship is about making God the measure of worth for our lives, not about what is new or old, what is long or short, what is happy or sad, what I like or dislike. If every Sunday in a big or small way we turn our hearts to sing God's praise, then every Sunday we will see what Worship is all about.
We invite you to join us for worship on Sundays at 9:15 am, or 11:00 am.
